Outstanding. The fact that this didn't garner a single Oscar nomination means that the Academy doesn't get out much to the theaters - or they don't play the screeners. A beautifully shot film, and the acting performances are so rich, they'reOutstanding. Portrait of A Lady On Fire is truly beautiful. Barely any dialogue and from there exist a masterclass on unspoken silent bond that can happen almost immediately when two people met. I am a Christian, conservative, anti-feminist and anti-LBGT **** But this film is a clever, poignant, beautiful piece of art. Best movie of 2019.
