Gears of War 4 is simply more of the things that players know and love. The developers may have failed during the creation of a cool single-player campaign and the new heroes are pale shadows of previously used veterans but the multiplayer portion of the game shines. This is its strongest part that deserves every praise.

You don't need to fear for the quality of FIFA 17 on PC - everything looks great. The PC port of the newest game from EA Sports not only isn't inferior to the console versions but some things look and feel even better. That's what I call fair play.

The Way is a really well done, pretty and atmospheric platformer that resembles Flashback or Another World. We get some beautiful pixel art, a truly excellent soundtrack and tons of fun gameplay (exploring a mysterious planet is always fun!). The developers could have spent more time on the controls but all in all the results are pretty good. The Way is a very pleasant surprise.

Obduction is a gift for fans of Myst. Creators of the hit series from the past have created a well written and perfectly executed story that engages the player. Beware - it is a game for patient people that like to wander around in confusion while looking for a solution to another difficult puzzle. Despite some minor technical issues the entire experience was really satisfying.

For the first hour of gameplay The Final Station seems like a very, very good game. In time some issues come to light - mostly associated with dialogue and repetitiveness. Still it is a pretty solid debut of Do My Best Games. There weren't many better indie games this summer.

This interesting FPP puzzle game borrows a lot from Valve's Portal but doesn't surpass it in any way. The puzzles are interesting but repetitive and after a while the gameplay becomes a bit boring. The technical side could also be better but if you like such games, The Turing Test could be a nice surprise for you. The story added on top of the puzzles is definitely worth your time.

Farm Expert 2017 shows the specifics of being a true farmer in a really good way - there's much to do. Unfortunately there won't be many people who will do it - this is a great candidate for Gaming Razzies in the "worst technical side" category. Many moons will pass before this game is playable. Frustration instead of fun.

ReCore was supposed to be a great game - the idea, art direction and gameplay look awesome. Unfortunately true fun lies somewhere beneath lots of technical issues. If only the developers had a few more months to deliver a truly cool platformer/shooter that would become something fresh in this sandbox filled market... ReCore promised more than it ultimately delivered.

You have to appreciate advancements in the visual department and lots of small but pleasant fixes in the career mode. But FIFA 17 doesn't deserve to be called "the best virtual football game". There are too many issues of different kind and this year PES is simply better. FIFA generates fun (as always) but I think the expectations were bigger.

BioShock is an outstanding franchise that hasn't aged despite a change in hardware generations. This collection is a great excuse to revisit Rapture and Columbia (for some players) and an excellent starting point to discover this world for the very first time (for others). Console owners should feel appreciated, PC owners not so much (another case of a port being done poorly).

Virginia is a living proof that "walking simulators" don't have to be boring. This is an exciting and engaging story that is different from a typical videogame. The narration - inspired by Twin Peaks and The X-Files - makes you really want to see the finale (which is great by the way).

Some say that Pro Evolution Soccer shouldn't be forgiven the lack of basic licenses. But in case of PES 2017 you could be tempted to forget about it because the gameplay is superb. Many different plays, competent AI, realistic movement and tons of fun after every successful action create a sense of wonder. There are some issues but overall the new PES is definitely better than the previous one.

The PC version of PES 2017 features most of the positive gameplay changes implemented in the console version but that's the only positive thing I can say about this game. You can't justify paying a full price for a product that hasn't changed technically since 2013. It would be better to have forgotten about PCs altogether. You should be ashamed, Konami.

Naruto Online is a simple browser game that is pleasing to the eye and is bound to a very popular franchise. The gameplay is straightforward, battles are easy - many will consider this game a cool little "distractor" but other will find it boring. I'm a fan of the series and enjoy short gaming sessions with Naruto Online but I would love to get something more than grinding with well known characters.

Blizzard does it again. Legion is one of the best (if not THE best) expansion in the history of World of Warcraft. I'm having as much fun as with The Burning Crusade or Wrath of the Lich King. The game returned to its roots and is offering a sense of true wonder. Even if PvP is a bit broken there's no better time to return to WoW.

Forza Horizon 3 is such a good game that it's difficult to find a racing game that is more interesting, has more content and generates similar amounts of fun. The audiovisual portion of the game is excellent and makes the new NFS pale in comparison (and that applies beyond the graphics). Forza Horizon 3 sets the bar so high that right now it seems impossible to reach it.

The new Cossacs game can be pleasant. It has very pretty graphics, atmospheric music and deals with a rarely visited historical period. But all of that is overshadowed by an abysmally stupid AI (even by low RTS standards). Cossacs 3 turned out to be a refreshed mediocre RTS with the same flaws from 16 years ago. Shame.

The new Master of Orion can glue you to the screen for many hours. It has things executed very well - from designing ships, to diplomacy, to combat. The biggest flaw is this: this new MoO relies too much on old games. It's great to try and revive old magic but novelties from mid-90s are now standard. More unique things would do this game good.

Well known and loved Worms had to wait a while for a game that is as good as old 2D installments of the series. Worms WMD proves that extreme modifications aren't necessary - the key is to give fans what they want: more worms, more destruction and classic physics. That plus some cool little new things turn this Worms game into a real gem.

Deus Ex GO was supposed to be a well made, good looking puzzle game and it turned out to be exactly that. It's a third installment in the GO series aimed at fans of simple mind-games and minimalistic graphics that want to expand their knowledge of the Deus Ex universe. Just like Lara Croft and Hitman - DX GO is simply very good.

Great expectations for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided made it look a bit worse than Human Revolution (even though the new DX is a really good game). The good things: improvements in gameplay mechanics, freedom of choice and great atmosphere are outweighed by a really mediocre storyline that casts a shadow on an overall great achievement.

The Solus Project - an interesting space survival adventure - has a truly magnificent, magical, diverse and very interesting world. It's definitely the biggest asset of this game. The gameplay calls back to some old-school mechanics and does it pretty well. Shame that the storyline and characters are so weak. Still - fans of Interstellar should give it a go.

Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter is an uneven game. Making Sherlock younger and having him take part in action scenes was a good idea but the execution is poor at best. Still there are some excellent mini-games, interesting investigation and a truly great deduction board. If only the game handled it's characters better it would be glorious. The end result is ok but the potential is far from being fully realized.

Dreamfall Chapters is a good game that requires following the series from the beginning. You have to really know the characters and their worlds. Without it you get a game full of outdated gameplay solutions with mediocre technical side and occasional extremely boring parts. If you do not love The Longest Journey focus on something like Life is Strange, it'll be better for you.

Inside is a truly unique platformer that is a better and more mature brother of famous Limbo (that came from the same studio). Everything you see on the screen is extremely well thought out and the way that one anonymous character in the background conveys tons of emotions with a simple move is astounding. Only the best could have achieved such a thing and I'm sure Inside will be remembered for years.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Has some issues and takes some shortcuts but I had tremendous fun playing the game (ever more than watching the actual movie). The game is really funny, demanding for younger gamers and offers tons of cool stuff to unlock. It's no revolution but the overall feeling is great.

SteamWorld Heist is a steampunk tactical game with attitude and a cool gameplay mechanic. It's a truly great product that has become one of the best indie games of the year. There's a lot to be satisfied about: great graphics, excellent combat and interesting dialogue. Fans of high difficulty levels and tactical, turn-based games and should definitely give it a go.

Song of the Deep is a very pleasant but mostly unoriginal game. It's pretty but not as much as Ori and the Blind Forest, the weapons are cool but not as inventive as in other games of the same studio. Still - this underwater adventure is worth your time but it could use some polishing.

Fallout Shelter on the PC is a lightweight strategy game that takes its time to gain momentum but generates reasonable amounts of fun. On one hand it has some issues, on the other the "just one more click!" syndrome is present and finally the game looks the way it should have from the beginning. Fallout Shelter needs some polishing and isn't perfectly suited for this platform but it definitely deserves your attention.

I'm a hardcore pokemon fan and it pains me to admit that Pokemon GO is an unfinished product that still requires some work. It's hard to fairly grade such a social phenomenon so soon, especially when it can provide real fun. Walking around your own city, meeting other players and pokemon is really cool but right now Pokemon GO is just a good idea that has not reached its full potential.
