The game culminates into an expert combination of storytelling, survival, and community management, leaving me quite satisfied with the result.

Fade to Silence is a real survival game with hints of Souls-like that sets the mood and raises the tension. Even if its graphics are not top-of-the-range, the sets reflect the extreme conditions in which we find ourselves and the soundtrack is a very good match. It's a pity that there are still a few bugs left. If the concept of permanent death can make you angry, it remains an essential element, it would be a pity to ignore it by using the exploration mode, which we advise you to use only in last resort, since bargains and blessings allow you to restart stronger and save time.

Fade To Silence is a game that pushes all the right buttons, but it doesn’t push some of them quite hard enough. In a survival game, it’s important for hostile threats to be just as important as the resource gathering, management, and base building. The idea is there, the environment is there, but the mechanics are only half there when one half is a rather addictive base management system and the other half is overly simplistic combat.

This could be a halfway decent addition to the ever-growing number of open world survival adventures. But certain design decisions like permadeath (which even From Software stayed away from) keep it from escaping mediocrity.

Immersive, sometimes beautiful and pleasant in co-op, Fade to Silence is a game that unfortunately fails to bring a polished combat system, a good narrative experience, or even a correct technical side (bugs, crash, AI issues).

Fade to Silence is a broken mess where even the simplest of tasks is frustrating.

It has good ideas and great ambitions within the survival and construction genre, but it is not possible to successfully transfer their to the final video game.

Great atmosphere, great feeling of "you against the wilderness". The blizzards look and feel absolutely GREAT. A little unforgiving when it comes to enemies destroying you but...hey! It's survival. I enjoyed the rogue-like elements it has.

    Voice acting could be better.

If you like survival games definitely give it a try.

It suffers from poor game play, poor development, lack of polishing, a useless narrative, unbalanced difficulty, a lack of focus, outrageous levels of repetition, the problems with this game just go on and on. However, this doesn’t change one thing. I had a ton of fun with this game. The $49.99 price tag is really steep for the quality of the game you’re getting. But for a second, imagine that really god awful movie, that you love to death because of how fun that movie was to watch. That was Fade to Silence for me. Expand

Big Budget Studio uses Unity3D. I am sure this game will be great.... oh yes, its unity and runs like garbage.

Not rewarding at all. Every aspect of the game feels clunky. I was bored 6, 60, and 600 minutes into it. GTFO my computer..

But, generally, I see how someone else might enjoy them and therefore do not feel jilted. Not so with Fade to Silence, this game is an abortion.

    Here are the highlights:
A lot of systems but none feel meaningful or enjoyable. The setting is boring. Add to that their take on rogue-like games--none of the fun or the intensity, just tedium--and their take on "soulsborne" combat--hit, step, recharge, rinse and repeat, only danger coming from the poorly implemented camera--and I want my money back.

My wife and daughter were out of town and I spent a whole weekend trying to get into this game. I want that time back as well.
